Kyra Dowling
“Coach K” began her gymnastics training in a recreational class at the age of 6 years old. Showing an aptitude for base skills, she was quickly recruited to the Acrobatic Gymnastics team, competing for 8 years until her retirement at the age of 16 years old. A founding member of the USA Gymnastics Acrobatic Gymnastics Development Team, and a three time Regional and National Champion, Coach K had the honor of representing Team USA as a member of the National Team, as well as the USAG World Team, from 2016-2018. Her last partnership prior to retirement saw her competing in three countries, earning championship Gold medals in Canada, Silver at the Pan-American Championships, and 12th in the World at the 2018 FIG World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. Recognizing the pressures today’s kids face in competitive sports, Coach K desires to not only pass along her love for tumbling, but also to instill in her students self-confidence, discipline and perseverance. She has undergone the USAG (USA Gymnastics) Safe Sport Training, and has been coaching for over 5 years. Ever the competitor, Coach K has developed an interest in martial arts and, when she’s not coaching, she can be found taking class and competing with RSK’s Team Fierce Contact.
